A conference is a collection of meetings arranged in a programme, with a number of people invited as speakers, and other information fields typical of large congresses or social events (registration, list of organisations that support or sponsor the event, etc.).
Examples: A conference can be a relevant event for an organization and its members, or take place as part of a participatory process or follow a consultation.
Introduction
On October 8, 2025, we’re hosting a live Manifesto contribution session and we’d love you to join us. During the session, you’ll work directly on the eportal to add your own contributions, while also being part of a shared space where you can exchange questions, ideas and encouragement with others.

The Clean Clothes Campaign is crowd-sourcing ideas for a Just Transition Manifesto through our online participation portal. The Manifesto will act as a guiding star for a Just Transition to a renewed future of fashion that values people and restores nature, not one that exploits both for profit. Our goal for the session is to gather ideas on what a just transition in the fashion industry should look like, so that the Manifesto is coherent, comprehensive and inclusive.

If you’ve been meaning to share your thoughts but haven’t found the time yet, this session offers the focus and space to finally do it - we hope you can join us!
If you are able to join us, we recommend that you register on this eportal in advance of the day, and spend a bit of time familiarising yourself with the site. You might want to choose one or two themes you would like to concentrate on - for instance those which align closest to your work, or simply those you find most interesting.
There won’t be interpretation available in the Zoom room, but a machine translated version of the Manifesto eportal site is available in many languages.
If you can’t make the dates, you can also just contribute independently and directly on the eportal – and / or fill in one of two surveys: One survey for people working in the fashion industry and the second survey for the wider public (not working in fashion).
