The inequality between workers and those who own corporations is at the core of how not just the fashion industry is organised, but more generally the world (and national) economies. It will be difficult to change that any time soon, but some ways to improve the situation may be achievable, for instance supply chain legislation to ensure Living Wages are paid to workers, and higher taxation for companies, ideally on a global level as tax havens persist... From below, we of course we need to strengthen worker power - see the relevant theme. Climate change will only intensify economic inequality, so just adaptation measures will be crucial.
