Inputs for Manifesto from workshop for young people 24. April 2025, Czechia
The goal of the workshop was to engage young people to think and discuss prompts from the Manifesto. They were encouraged to read through the prompts, comment with thoughts and questions that they have regarding the content.
The group entailed young people, including 2 young workers for a garment company (design of products and office).

From discussion with participants:
• Might be good to add to the theme description or rationalization:
◦ political situation / radicalization - fragility of political representation changes a lot, contributing to the inability to cooperate among the movements
◦ to address the topic of greenwashing
◦ different ways to the same changes are necessary - they must happen together and complement each other

• What are challenges we face:
◦ To educate interactively and promote the issues better
◦ the movement is fragmented… bottom up approach is needed, to connect with other groups and topics
◦ we need a shift from private ownership of means of production towards cooperative ownership. But, how big a chance for it there is to actually succeed? (there are some examples (communities which are viable, re-kola (city bike sharing)...)
◦ the local solutions and local initiatives are in decline, we lack communities

What can we do?
◦ presentation (by Universities for climate) on primary schools, high schools, universities
◦ to connect throughout the value chain X globalization is an obstacle for connection

• General thoughts for manifesto:
◦ how to ensure the sustainability of the manifesto? government - leading party and opposition should find sustainable solutions
◦ manifesto connects and we need to also show that fight is for everyone
◦ to engage and connect together can be hot!
◦ we need to tell people, that to care is meaningful, can actually make a change!
