What is the link between modern slavery and climate change?
I was asked this question by a labour rights activist in Indonesia. I am aware of 3 issues:
1. the link between forced climate migration leading to people being exploited in modern slavery in garment workplaces, and some organisations are researching this. Here's some links

2. Workers being forced to work overtime to meet targets when high temperatures mean that their bodies cannot work as fast.
3. Workers in the textile waste value chains working under forced labour conditions.
