About the Clean Clothes Campaign and the Fashioning a Just Transition Manifesto

How to contribute to the Manifesto

Between now and November 16th, 2025, we are crowdsourcing content for the Manifesto, so we want you to contribute your ideas, questions and comments to discussions. Your contributions can be about incremental changes to the current industry or can be big picture changes for a completely transformed industry.

We also would like you to contribute as well as to get other people involved and contributing to the Manifesto. Here's how to do it.

Share your own ideas

There are two main ways you can contribute your own ideas to the Manifesto.

  1. You can contribute to discussions on one of the existing nine themes: First choose the theme, then either find an existing discussion thread that you want to join, or create a new discussion thread.

    0 About a Just Transition

    1. Workers' power

    2. Building a mass movement

    3. Green and social washing

    4. Safe work, a living wage and no overproduction

    5. Hold companies accountable

    6. Safety nets

    7. Women's rights

    8. A just transition for everyone

  2. Or, you kick-start conversations about a new Just Transition theme. If you want to discuss something not already included on this e-portal, you can ask us to set up a whole new theme by emailing manifestosupport@cleanclothes.org

Get others involved

  1. Use the introductory text for each themes to start a conversation with student, activists, workers, your friends or anyone else, then share feedback on the relevant pages here on this e-portal. See this page on how to use the prompts offline.

  2. Share links to the discussion pages on this e-portal on social media and encourage other people to get involved in the debate.

  3. Look out for and share posts on the Clean Clothes Campaign social media:

  1. Sign up to the Clean Clothes Campaign mailing list to be kept informed.
